Music Review: An Evening with Shane and Shane by Shane and Shane

This was a purchase because I so loved my Pages album. I was head down to San Antonio to get away from Dallas for a bit and wanted some new tunes to go with me. I was again amazed by the amount of truth that Shane and Shane somehow manage to cram into each song. A winner in my library. This is a somewhat live CD because there is clapping at the end of each song, but it doesn't sound like it was done in a live venue. No matter. My absolute favorite song on this album is the last one. It talks about how much longing there is to be back in paradise like Genesis 1. Almost every time I listen to it, my soul is deeply moved back to that eternal desire that Ecclesiastes says that God implanted in all of us. If you like to purchase the actual CD, grab it from Amazon. Otherwise click on the album art and you can go to iTunes to get it.

Favorite Songs: Yearn, Fringes, Namesake, Psalm 145, I Miss You
